Plant logistics

The plant logistic covers the planning, organisation, control, handling and supervision of the complete flow of material and goods. The OAS AG provides extensive solutions in terms of software applications, terminals, truck scales and trans-shipment weighing systems for the flow of material and goods via trucks, railroad and vessels. The portfolio is completed by movable, process-controlled pick-mobiles with integrated weight for the consignment sale of small packages.

Optimised processes

The operational processes for the flow of material and goods are in general very complex. The OAS AG disposes of decades of experience and process know-how and is therefore able to analyse and optimise processes also beyond sector borders – whether in the automotive, the paint or the building materials industry. For interested parties, we graphically represent with pleasure the improved operational processes by means of process and flow diagrams.

User-friendly hardware

The operational processes can be automised and significantly improved by means of OAS logistic terminals. External service providers, as for example truck drivers, are able to recall orders independently and they can organise the weighing- and loading process. The transport documents will be printed out directly at the terminal. The driver realises the signature on the touch-screen. Thus, unnecessary internal documents can be avoided as well as the resulting manual capturing of these documents. All information are immediately and plant-wide available as electronic file.

Of course, the user interface of the terminals can be designed as multilingual version. The driver chooses a language that guides him through the subsequent dialogue via the welcome mask on the touch-screen.

The terminals are in a very robust design for the daily use in the industrial environment. Through the installation of a daylight-suitable touch-screen, the terminals are made for outside operation. In addition, the terminals are height adjustable and enable the truck driver to realise the above-described functions from their driver cabs.

Extensive software solutions

Logis is a software application for the handling of logistical processes in connection with transports of material and goods via trucks, railroad and vessels. By means of the automised handling, operated weighing processes are also supported by the software. As all involved sectors are integrated in the complete sequence, plant operators can track the enlisted trucks during their stay on the premises and can control all logistic processes.
