Bremen, January 17, 2013

On the trade show LOGIMAT in Stuttgart, OAS AG presents soft- and hardware components, which will close the automation gap in rapid and reliable processing of in-house lorry traffic.

The process specialists from Bremen present LOGISenterprise in Stuttgart, a proven control system which can be used by plant operators to implement their yard management into a consistent automation concept. Depending on the degree of automation and project-specific restrictions, the drivers are able to process the lorry transports via the software in a nearly fully-automated manner.

LOGISenterprise allows the operators to keep track of the transportations at any time and to coordinate access to the platforms or the loading and unloading points as required. LOGISenterprise also processes cross-system compilation and the output of shipping and transport documents. Being a middleware, this software in addition serves the connection to host systems, such as SAP, or to warehouse management systems.

The logistic terminals by OAS AG complement this automation concept on the hardware side. With a few entries, the drivers can independently call orders at the self-service terminals or carry out weighing, loading or unloading. The terminals can be equipped according to the project requirements and when required be extended with mobile end devices or customer-specific special functions, such as the scanning of documents, handling of pagers, biometric identification, or a height adjustment.

The soft- and hardware components by OAS AG close a frequent automation gap: the manual processing of in-house lorry traffic. Without a uniform control system, it is almost impossible to efficiently follow up or centrally control the logistic processes between registration and exit of the vehicles. In contrast, the control system and automation hardware on the yard provide for a transparent yard management along with consistent documentation of transactions.
