As part of a rollout project for a major German poultry producer, we are supplying the next Yard Management System for a further site. Following the successful implementation of the OAS Yard Management System at a pilot site, the next phase of the rollout is now underway.
The Yard Management System comprises our yard management software, logis, a vehicle weighbridge and an OAS Logistic Terminal for self-service registration and weighing of transport vehicles. In addition, the Yard Management System controls all traffic and logistics processes on the premises. The aim is to optimise internal traffic on the premises, reduce waiting times and significantly shorten lorry turnaround times.
In future, drivers will check in independently via the OAS Logistic Terminals with their transport orders. The digital and automated processing and recording of all transport and weighing data ensures a smooth flow of information, increases the transparency of processes and lays the foundations for the efficient management of site transport at the various locations.
The templates used as part of the roll-out project also enable the customer to efficiently roll out process workflows, once developed, across multiple sites. This significantly reduces the implementation effort per site.
