Topics of interest to each plant operator

On the exhibition POWTECH 2014 in Nuremberg/Germany, OAS AG presents different main themes, which are or should be of interest to each plant operator!

  • Modernisation – Old production lines are not "written off" at all
  • Increased dosing accuracy – The key to reduced consumption of raw materials
  • Energy efficiency – How to get a grip on cost drivers
  • Key figures – Efficiency and transparency in production

Bremen, 29 September 2014 – Today, customers request flexibility in production along with a consistently high quality. Therefore, plant operators develop strategies how to easily and rapidly increase production capacities, how to use cost-intensive raw materials in a more efficient way, and how to make the entire production process more transparent. OAS AG with its experience gained over many years in the fields of modernisation and optimised production, gives advice and optimises in this field.

The modular solution concepts by OAS AG, such as the small and medium component station (SMC station) or the modular silo plant, provide for maximum flexibility in production and high dosing accuracy at large throughput. The SMC station stores, doses, and transports bulk goods and fibres of nominal values between 0.5 and 300 kg. It can be installed almost everywhere and is highly flexible regarding the raw material storage (big bags, bag chutes, containers, or site silos). Here, OAS AG exactly knows the requirements of plant modernisation and attaches great importance to an optimum space allocation and to investment security for their customers.

Further important topics are the rising costs for energy and other raw materials. The introduction of an energy management system according to EN ISO 50001 is condition for the limitation of the surcharge for financing of renewable energy sources in Germany and the corresponding tax rebate and allows for identification of potentials for economies. This requires an energy monitoring to be created in steps and to be functionally connected to a manufacturing execution system. This serves the reading out and aggregating of key figures and reporting (energy reporting) with reference to the individual production steps. Our MES (Manufacturing Execution System) .factory supports the plant operators in acquiring production data and to this end provides interfaces to a multitude of systems belonging to production and building services.
