We are supplying an update of our pronto production control system to a multinational food producer at its production site in Baden-Wurttemberg. With the update to the current version 7.7, the customer will continue to rely on the process control system that has proven itself in production for many years.
In addition to a modern design and various functional enhancements, pronto also works with the Microsoft SQL server as a database in this version, which means significant cost savings for the customer compared to other database licences.
The modernisation affects all areas of production control: from work preparation, warehouse management and quality control to production, automation and SAP interfaces.
In addition to updating the production control system, the entire server infrastructure and all client computers and terminals in production will also be modernised and the operating systems, database systems etc. will be ported to the latest versions. In addition to improving performance and energy efficiency, this measure also strengthens the resilience of the production infrastructure against increasing threats in the area of cyber security.
