Extensive yard management project for internationally active Swiss paper manufacturer

We are implementing an extensive yard management project for an internationally active Swiss paper manufacturer at its production site in Saxony.

OAS Yard Management for smooth logistics processes

The customer plans to upscale the production capacity at the site. To ensure a smooth flow of the delivery and removal processes on the factory premises, we are taking over the modernisation and automation of the factory logistics concept. For this purpose, we supply an integrated yard management system consisting of OAS Logistic Terminals for the self-service handling of logistical processes, as well as our yard management software logis and weighing systems for the modernisation of already existing truck scales.

Self-operated processes for labour-saving logistics operations

In order to relieve the internal plant traffic, the truck drivers will in future register with their driving order at an external car park via one of a total of three OAS Logistic Terminals. Already at the self-service terminal, they receive the necessary safety instruction and the documents required for the loading and unloading processes. Afterwards, the drivers are called up individually according to the loading or unloading sequence via six large LED displays to enter the plant. Upon entry, the trucks are initially weighed via the connected truck scales with OAS self-service terminals with multilingual user guidance and the freight documents are recorded. After loading or unloading, the vehicles are directed from the factory premises via the exit scales. Here, there is another OAS Logistic Terminal, through which the drivers automatically receive the corresponding delivery notes in A4 format after the second weighing. The processes are controlled via the Yard Management Software logis. Possible future expansion stages include the processes of incoming and outgoing goods by rail as well as the registration and deregistration of visitors and external service providers.
