For a global paper and packaging manufacturer we deliver another OAS Yard Management System for the automated handling of plant traffic at another production site. The current project represents the next stage in the successful cooperation between the company and OAS. Previously, the plant logistics processes at another German location of the company were successfully automated with our Yard Management solution.
Self-service and personnel-saving handling of visitor and goods traffic
Via the OAS Yard Management Software logis and various OAS Logistic Terminals, the notification and registration of visitors, transport service providers and suppliers will in future also be fully automated at the second location. Likewise, the associated incoming and outgoing goods processes at the truck scales will in future be recorded self-service by the driver and automatically transmitted to the higher-level ERP and merchandise management systems. For this purpose, the logistic terminals are individually equipped for the customer's process requirements with touch screens, telephone stations, barcode scanners, laser printers for document output and access control readers.
The Yard Management from OAS enables the logistical processes at the site to be handled in a personnel-saving manner. This enables the company to realise predicted production increases of 20 percent in terms of plant logistics.
